Hand Dyed Spots
The spot dyed wools shown are representative of the results I usually get. Be aware that spot dyes can vary quite a bit, not only per dye lot, but in each piece you will have colourful variations which is what spot dyes are all about! If you've not used them, they are absolutely necessary for pictorials and stained glass rugs. They can also be used in shaded pieces for small items such as leaf veins or tendrils. Some are very antique looking and will work out in primitives. I always use some in oriental rugs as well. They are a treat to work with.
Each named or numbered piece is about 1/8 of a yard. Most shown are one piece; but several that are meant for pictorial use consist of 3 "values."
Spot dyes are priced at $7.00 each. If you need more of one selection, consider ordering a 1/2 yard at $20.00, or a full yard at $40.00.
